Philomath: from the Greek φίλος philos, hence philo- meaning ‘loving’, as in philosophy or philanthropy) + Greek μανθάνειν manthanein, hence -math meaning ‘learning’, ‘expertise’, as in polymath). Hence Philomathes is a name for a lover of the act of learning about new things.
